At the beginning of every month, KLM and Air France’s frequent flyer program, Flying Blue, releases a specific list of awards that are up to 50% off. These are for both economy and business class, one way and roundtrip, and by continent. What makes this opportunity attractive is not just the discount but the flexibility to fly to/back from pretty much anywhere in Europe. The offer typically allows travel in the upcoming 2-3 months. Under Flying Blue, you can fly KLM , Air France or Alitalia metal which have quality business class hard products as well, especially KLM with their new World Business Class. Additionally, your Chase Ultimate Rewards and Citi ThankYou points can be transferred 1:1 to FlyingBlue.
Through our blog, we share hacks and ideas that we’ve tried ourselves, so that you too can have more in your daily lives. We love to travel, and hopefully our travel experiences shared here will similarly allow you to have awesome experiences!
Kicking off the Travel section of our blog is a shout out to Global Entry, which literally saved our souls!! This past week we were on our way back to SFO after visiting family in Mumbai and touring Beijing. Checking in at Beijing airport after our layover, we learned that our direct flight to SFO was cancelled and we were put on a later flight that would force us to connect in LA. More posts coming on our time in Beijing and other cities, hacks we used and pitfalls we avoided.
As a thrifty couple, we like to shop at premium outlet malls to get the best bang for our buck. Many times, stores in these malls will have additional discounts during Black Friday and the holiday season generally.
Now there’s a way to get additional discounts on already deeply discounted premium merchandise! Premium outlets operated by Simon Malls have a “Savings Passbook” for $5 that gets you additional discounts at specific stores. Additional discounts include 20% off without any minimum spend at stores such as Kate Spade, Polo Ralph Lauren, Max Studio, Armani, Le Creuset, Burberry etc.
You can pick this passbook up at the mall’s Guest Services but if you check in on Yelp, the Savings Passbook is free! Find your nearest Simon outlet mall here.
Hold the phone! JetBlue has had a partnership with Amazon where in-flight you could access all your Amazon shopping and video or music content for free. JetBlue just announced what looks like the next phase in their relationship – they’re offering three bonus TrueBlue points for every dollar spent on Amazon.
The only requirement is to use JetBlue’s unique link above or make the Amazon purchase in flight via JetBlue’s Fly-fi.
